Oka Tapasu is a Japanese-Korean tapas restaurant serving street food eats and sharing plates inspired by the flavours of Asia.

Born out of local chef and restaurateur James Hill’s love of Asian food ¬– and his desire to bring something new to the Carlisle dining scene –, Oka Tapasu offers an assured menu of street food favourites and on-trend dishes: pillowy bao buns, super-fresh sushi and sashimi, bright and bold poke bowls, slow-simmered ramen, Korean BBQ dishes and more.

Thanks to Oka's Tapasu-style menu, diners can drop by for a quick bite to eat, enjoy a multi-plate grazing-style meal or create their own small plate tasting menu. In short, Oka Tapasu has something for everyone.

Located in the centre of Carlisle’s historic district In The Green Market, the restaurant is designed around the busy open kitchen, giving the space a vibrant, energetic feel. A short, well-curated drinks list featuring Japanese beers and craft cocktails, good musics, friendly service
and laidback atmosphere all add to Oka Tapasu’s appeal.
